Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be stopping or even slowing down their launch spree. This time, the stage is set for a budget offering – Xiaomi Redmi 4! As per the company’s latest tease, the smartphone will be launched on Nov 4, 2016 in China. If leaks and reports hold good, it seems to be a welcome upgrade to the Redmi 3S/Prime that was launched few months back.
Leaks stating the Redmi 4 will sport a full metal body have come through. TENAA Certification gives a better look at the smartphone and its specifications. The Remid 4 will follow the 5-inch form factor as its predecessors but this time around, it will be a Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. Pushing the pixels and other activities will be the 1.4 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Usage of Snapdragon processor is good news for Indian consumers as we can expect Xiaomi to launch (at least this device) in India.
Coming to storage, the Redmi 4 carries 32 GB internally which is expandable via microSD Card up to 128 GB. Camera division showcases a 13 MP Rear Camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5 MP Front Camera for selfies. No specifics leaked on which sensors they’ve used. Although, we’ll get to know soon enough. Backing up all this is a 4100 mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner appears to be a standard unlike the previous iteration.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is supposed to come in Silver, Grey and Gold color options. Leaks on pricing state the Redmi 4 could be priced at CNY 699 ~ $105 ~ Rs. 7002. Sounds good, doesn’t it? However, we request you to hold your horses as these values are based on leaks and rumors. Take it with a pinch of salt until Xiaomi unveils everything.
