OnePlus Z To Be Powered by Snapdragon 765 SoC

OnePlus really went for the ‘Never Settle’ tag a little too much this time. In the midst of lockdown, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched two of its most awaited smartphone lineups, the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, ever since the launch there have been rumors of the OnePlus Z, well, there were rumors of OnePlus Lite as well which was never announced. According to rumors, the device should be out by the end of July. 

A couple of weeks ago, the device was said to be powered by the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 1000L. However, a new leak suggests otherwise. The OnePlus Z is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 SoC. Popular tipster Max J went on to Twitter to share an image of a wire-framed OnePlus Z with the aforementioned chip and 5G icon on it. The same leakster had suggested that the alleged OnePlus Lite (Now ‘Z’) would be coming with the MediaTek chip.

Images of the alleged OnePlus Z have been leaking left and right. The device is said to come with an OLED display since it’ll come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone may sport a 6.4inch flat display and not a curved one, unlike its older brothers. A triple rear camera sensor, a 4,000mAh battery, and 30W fast charging. Another leak suggests that the device will come with dual sim support and NFC as well.
