Everything about WWDC 2017!

This was Apple’s 29th WWDC ( World Wide Developers Conference), and this was quoted by the biggest ever by Tim Cook. Here are all the things announced at the Keynote.

The total included 6 major announcements –

  • tv OS-

Not really much big about the tv OS being done, no crazy announcement about the 4K TV by apple, but added the support of Amazon prime, that means you can watch and play any movie from Amzazon Prime video. A bit of an Updated and changed interface, but no massive overhaul.

  • Watch OS-

Apple watch being the most used by the world, for casual and for fitness tracking activities.

The new updates in watch OS brings up the 3 new line of watch faces- Siri watch face, which shows the pro-active assistance, which shows up the cards relevant to your information depending upon the time of the day. Also you can ask siri the questions directly from the watch and it’ll display some very detailed and precise information that you need.

The 2nd watch face is more of the design overhaul, known as to be “Kaleidoscope”.

3rd watch face is from the movie Toy Story, the watch face consists of 3 main characters from the movie. Apple also introduced very Apple priced watch bands for the watch.

Along with the improved animations and faster UI, the watch OS4 would be a worthy upgrade. The developer preview can be installed starting from today.

 

  • Mac OS –

 

One of the Apple’s important Operating system, the macOS received its major upgrade from MacOS Sierra to MacOS High Sierra. Which supports better and faster performance, with better machine learning, and the deep net it is a lot smarter. The Auto-playing of a video when you open up a page on Safari is stopped. The Intelligent Tracking system avoids you being tracked. There Chain of Macbooks received a spec update, updating in the internals, processors, RAMs, and GPUs. All the Macbooks were updated to Kabylake processors and improved RAM and AMD graphics cards.

The introduction of the All new pretty Badass looking Space gray iMac with the i7 7th processors and AMD Rx 580 GPU and improved I/O, with 4 Thunderbolt ports.

Which would retail for About 5000$. The reduction in the prices of MacBooks also took place. The MacOS High Sierra is available as a developer preview starting from today.

 

  • iOS –

 

The biggest operating system from the Apple registered 16 Million active users.

iOS is receiving its another major overhaul update, the iOS 11. The improved iMessaging app, the new better emojis, the Safari getting more optimized, the Photos app getting more smarter with the machinelearningg, the Apple Pay advancing with the new person to person transaction being made available, so money can be easily sent to a person by just the messaging app. The Control centre and the multi-tasking section getting a massive visual update, and obviously the updated Wallpapers. The iOS 11 has been claimed to be 40% optimized and faster. The Beta version can be installed from the official website by enrolling to the beta program.

 

  • iPad Pro –

 

The all new iPad Pro with the 10.5’ retina display was launched, this was the most underrated announcements from the event. The refresh rate has been bumped up from 60hz to massive 120hz and damn the experience looks like fluid smooth kind of confusing to the eyes. The A10X chip being used in this iPad is a hexacore processor, 3 cores for power and 3 for efficiency and also updated graphics and supports AR kit. The iOS 11 from iPad Pro looks amazing with the Drag and drop feature finally being implemented, and a lot of support for the multitasking. The new apple pencil also received an update with 20ms latency almost feels like there is no delay in typing. The base model has been turned down to 64GB and its costs for 649$.

 

  • Smart Speaker by Apple –

 

The Apple were behind the game from speakers, to Amazon and to Google till yesterday. Apple unveiled the Brand new speaker came to know as the HomePod. They are more music focused than the intelligence but there is Siri and can be activated by Hey Siri, it has got 7 Speakers and 4 arrays of woofers and 6 arrays of the microphone to provide that surround sound experience. It is available in 2 colors, space gray, and white. It starts retailing from December for 349$ when the prices are compared to other smart speakers it is pretty costly as Google home costs for 129$ and Amazon Alexa for about 179$ so it has to be really good the performance to justify that high price.
